Wintering
“Wintering brings about some of the most profound and insightful moments of our human experience, and wisdom resides in those who have wintered.”
― Katherine May - Wintering
As we step into this season of hibernation and "wintering," I’ve been thinking about how winter gives us this beautiful chance to slow down and just be. You know, the world outside might look still, but there’s so much going on beneath the surface—in nature and in us.
Winter feels like an invitation to pause, take a breath, and check in with ourselves. What do you really need right now? What’s your heart asking for? Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and forget to listen to that quiet inner voice…but this is such a good time to do just that.
I’d love to encourage you to dig a little deeper. Maybe spend a little more time reflecting on what makes you feel truly alive and nourished. Growth doesn’t always come from doing more; sometimes, it’s about giving yourself the space to rest, dream, and just be. When we do that, it’s like planting seeds for something beautiful to grow later on.
So, this winter let’s give ourselves permission to slow down and really listen. Let’s make space for what we need, whether that’s more rest, more joy, or just a little more time to reflect. And let’s trust that even in the quiet, amazing things are happening within us.
Here’s to a new year that’s full of authenticity, intention, and all the growth your heart is ready for.
