Emily DaFoe

I grew up surrounded by the rugged beauty of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, before trading mountain peaks for ocean views in Santa Barbara at the end of 1999. After college, I immersed myself in the world of wholesale, retail, design, and marketing—experiences that would later shape my creative journey.

In 2016, after getting married and welcoming our son, my family made the leap to the Santa Ynez Valley. Small-town life has been a gift, with our little boy growing up exploring vineyards and wide-open spaces—a life that feels like coming home.

E.R. Leather Goods began in 2007 as a passion project alongside my online journal, The Goods. This space became a reflection of everything I loved: food, interiors, DIY projects, health, and my (often messy) adventures in gardening. It’s about savoring the simple joys and finding the good in every corner of life—values that continue to inspire my work today.

Behind the Brand

Founded in 2007 by Emily Rosendahl DaFoe, E.R. Leather Goods began as a personal passion and has grown into a globally celebrated, independently owned brand. At its heart lies an unwavering commitment to authenticity, artistry, and individuality.

Specializing in handmade, one-of-a-kind bags and clutches, E.R. Leather Goods brings a touch of timeless "western" charm to modern, everyday life. Each piece is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, with every detail—down to the last stitch—painstakingly hand-punched and hand-stitched. This dedication to traditional techniques ensures no two creations are ever alike, making each item as unique as its owner.

E.R. Leather Goods has carved out a distinctive place in the world of artisan leather products, offering more than just accessories—it delivers heirloom-quality pieces that tell a story. With an ethos rooted in quality and originality, the brand continues to redefine the beauty of handmade leatherwork for a global audience.
