2020 Highs & Lows
There are so many things I can say about this rollercoaster of a year, but I am going to keep things positive and not dwell on things out of my control (I am already practicing some resolutions.) All I can say is that it was one hell of a ride.
In my family, we always go around the table at holiday dinners and do our “Highs and Lows.” It’s become a tradition that even our friends come prepared for. Here is my list for 2020:
Highs:
Our family vacation to Australia.
Laughed a lot with my quaranteam - and drank a lot of tequila!
Spent nearly EVERY SINGLE MINUTE with my family.
Cooking incredible dinners and cracking equally incredible wines.
Watched Waylon start school, and actually get to go.
Read and listen to a ton of great books.
Watch my little brother get married (which is one of the only times I got to see my family)
Forced myself to slow down and enjoyed the quiet time.
Lows:
Losing Milo in August
The loss of control in our life.
Not being able to enjoy proper gatherings.
Canceling travel plans.
All in all, we survived…as we always do…but I am really looking forward to 2021.
HAPPY NEW YEAR and CHEERS!
xx,
Emily
