Kale Chips
We are big kale eaters in our house, and this summer, kale chips have been a go-to snack! While I have made a few different recipes, I modified them all to come up with our winner. Of course you don’t need to grow kale in order to make this tasty treat, grab a couple bunches from the farmers market next time you are there and see what style you like the best. These are great for sneaking in some veggies, or packed in lunch for school!
INGREDIENTS:
Kale - a few bunches washed and trimmed off the stem. We wanted to try using the full leaves for this batch and I prefer it chopped off the stem.
1 tbsp. Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
1/2 a Lemon Juiced
Pinch of Sale
Parchment Paper
STEP 1:
Heat the oven to 300 then toss the washed and chopped kale in a bowl with the olive oil, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt - which is optional.
STEP 2:
Cut your parchment paper and spread out the kale evenly on the baking sheet. You might need to go in batches if you have a lot.
STEP 3:
Bake 10-15 minutes depending on how crispy you want the chips. Give them a stir every few minutes to keep them evenly cooked.
STEP 4:
Remove from the oven and let them cool. You can sprinkle any seasoning on that you like, but they are pretty tasty with just a touch of salt. Enjoy!
