Behind the Brand

Founded in 2007, E.R. Leather Goods grew out of a love of making, design, and visual storytelling. From the beginning, the brand was about more than the finished piece. It was about the materials, the process, the places that inspired it, and the life happening around it.

Influenced by the landscapes Emily has called home, from Portland and Jackson Hole to Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley, E.R. has always carried a mix of rugged western character and a more refined, modern sensibility. Natural hides, beautiful leathers, vintage details, and the imperfections that make each material unique are all part of the story.

Every piece is made by hand, with an emphasis on traditional techniques and thoughtful craftsmanship. Leather is cut, punched, stitched, and finished individually, allowing the character of the material to guide the design and ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.

Photography and storytelling have always been an extension of that process. The collections are often photographed in the places and environments that inspire them, creating a visual world around the pieces rather than simply showing a product. For Emily, the landscape, the styling, and the story are all part of the design.

More than fifteen years later, E.R. remains rooted in the same idea it began with: make something beautiful, make it well, and let it tell a story.
